CHILL STAYS PUT: Another cold day sits ahead as we roll into our hump day. Expect any morning flakes to fizzle. Most locations will see under an inch of accumulation, with some southern tier spots at 1”. Mostly cloudy skies turn mostly clear late, with a breeze. Highs struggle to hit the upper 20s. Tonight, we drop to single digits for lows.
Thursday, morning sun gives way to clouds for midday. Temperatures rise to the upper 20s before a stiff cold breeze kicks in shutting off any warming. This drops out temps to the single digits overnight. We only do low 20s with cold sunshine for Friday as high pressure rolls into the state.
WEEKEND: Saturday is looking a bit milder as a storm system gathers to our west. We’re mostly cloudy with highs in the middle 30s. Then Sunday, a warm front advances toward us bringing additional clouds and a shot at some rain turning to snow. Highs hit the middle 30s.
NEXT WEEK: We start Monday with concerns for wintry slop. Rain turns to an icy mix and eventually accumulating snow is possible. Expect a mess on Monday, but we’ll hammer out the exact details in the days to come. Highs Monday are stuck in the low 30s. Temps fall again for the middle part of the week behind Monday’s system.
Have a happy Wednesday!
