Lancaster City Police make an arrest in a shooting.  It happened at about 2:17 pm on February 9, near the intersection of Queen and James streets.  A 24 year city man suffered a gunshot wound to the torso. The victim remains hospitalized in serious, but stable condition.

Investigators identified the shooter as Jorge Omar Garcia, Jr., 19, of Manheim Township. Detectives obtain a warrant for Garcia’s arrest on a charge  of Aggravated Assault, Firearms not to be Carried Without a License and Recklessly Endangering Another Person.

Today, at about 11:40 am, Garcia was located at a home in the 700 block of Almanac Avenue in the city. U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, Pennsylvania State Police, and Lancaster City Police converged on that address and took Garcia into custody without incident.

Following arraignment, Garcia was sent to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $750,000 bail.
