Police identify man involved in Phineas Davis Elementary incident

York City Police say 30-year-old  Eric Schelmety, of York, is being charged with terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and a number of other charges, stemming from an incident that happened Thursday at Phineas Davis Elementary School.

School officials locked down the school around 4pm after Schelmety came charging through the schools front doors. The schools security stopped him from getting past the schools lobby area, police said.

During the time Schelmety was locked in the lobby police say he caused various damage to the area.

No one was injured during the incident and no weapons were found.

Schelmety is currently on his way to York County Prison with a $500,000 bail.
