Former Harrisburg Mayor Linda Thompson wants to run for Congress

Former Harrisburg Mayor Linda Thompson wants to step back into the political ring.
According to PennLive, Thompson says she plans to challenge Republican U.S. Representative Scott Perry for his spot in Congress.
Thompson says she is working to get the 1,000 signatures needed to be considered a candidate on the ballot in the 4th Congressional District.
The 4th District covers York and Adams Counties, as well as parts of Cumberland and Dauphin Counties, including Harrisburg.
The deadline to submit petitions is March 11th.
