Several municipalities in Central Pennsylvania have declared snow emergencies in advance of Sunday’s impending snow storm.
During a snow emergency, motorists are required to move vehicles from the road so that plows can get by. Violators run the risk of getting ticketed or towed.
Dauphin County:
- West Hanover Township will declare a snow emergency effective at 5PM on Sunday, March 2nd.
York County:
- The City of York will declare a snow emergency effective at 4PM on Sunday, March 2nd.
- Wrightsville Borough will declare a snow emergency effective at 6PM on Sunday, March 2nd.
- East Prospect Borough will declare a snow emergency effective at 12PM on Sunday march 2nd until Tuesday March 4th at 12PM.
- Yoe Borough will declare snow emergency effective 6PM on Sunday March 2nd until midnight March 3rd.
- West York Borough will declare a snow emergency effective 4PM on Sunday March 2nd until Tuesday March 4th at 12PM.
Lancaster County:
- Elizabethtown Borough will declare a snow emergency effective 3PM on Sunday March 2nd .
