Several municipalities in Central Pennsylvania have declared snow emergencies in advance of Sunday’s impending snow storm.

During a snow emergency, motorists are required to move vehicles from the road so that plows can get by. Violators run the risk of getting ticketed or towed.

Dauphin County:

  • Lower Swatara Township has declared a snow emergency in effect until noon on Tuesday, March 4.
  • West Hanover Township will declare a snow emergency effective at 5PM on Sunday, March 2nd.

Lancaster County:

  • Elizabethtown Borough will declare a snow emergency effective at 3PM on Sunday, March 2nd.

Lebanon County:

  • Annville Township will declare a snow emergency effective at 6PM on Sunday, March 2nd.

York County:

  • The City of York will declare a snow emergency effective at 4PM on Sunday, March 2nd.
  • Wrightsville Borough will declare a snow emergency effective at 6PM on Sunday, March 2nd.
  • East Prospect Borough will declare a snow emergency effective at 12PM on Sunday, March 2nd until Tuesday March 4th at 12PM.
  • Yoe Borough will declare snow emergency effective at 6PM on Sunday, March 2nd until midnight March 3rd.
  • West York Borough will declare a snow emergency effective at 4PM on Sunday, March 2nd until Tuesday March 4th at 12PM.
  • Shrewsbury Borough will declare a snow emergency effective at 12PM on Sunday, March 2nd
  • North York Borough will declare a snow emergency effective at 4PM on Sunday, March 2nd.
  • Dover Township will declare a snow emergency effective at 10PM on Sunday, March 2nd.
  • Dover Borough will declare a snow emergency effective at 9PM on Sunday, March  2nd.
  • Hellam Township will declare a snow emergency effective at 12:01Am March 3rd.
  • Delta Borough will declare a snow emergency effective at 11PM on Sunday March 2nd.
  • Springfield Township will declare a snow emergency effective 6Pm on Sunday March 2nd.
