SNOW THROUGH MONDAY

Light snow continues to clip parts of the area through these early morning hours. The snow could be moderate times, mainly close to the state border. The snow exits the area from mid to late morning. Snowfall accumulation will be minor to light throughout the area, with a coating to 2 inches at best north of the turnpike. South of the turnpike expect around 2 inches, with more closer to the border. The southern track pulled the heavier totals down into Maryland. Then it’s just plain cold for Monday afternoon with some clearing. Temperatures continue to fall into the upper teens to lower 20s through the morning. They don’t budge much through the afternoon. Northerly breezes add an extra chill in the air, bringing wind chill values into the teens and even single digits at times.

UNSEASONABLY COLD

Light snow ends, record cold tonight

March continues its unseasonably cold start, with a continuance of the arctic air through the middle of the week. Tuesday looks to bring record cold across the Lower Susquehanna River Valley. It’s followed by frigid highs in the 20s for Tuesday and Wednesday under a mixture of sunshine and clouds.

SLOWLY WARMING

Thursday we look to peak near 30 degrees. We’ve got our eyes on Friday; models have been indicating some coastal activity for awhile now, but whether or not it amounts to something for us has yet to be seen. One storm at a time! The weekend looks milder.

Have a great Monday!
