Carlisle man arrested for stabbing man during fight
A 28-year-old Carlisle man is being charged with aggravated assault after police say he attacked a man he invited to his apartment.
Police are charging Michael Johnson from the 100 block of Louther street with aggravated assault, simple assault, tampering with evidence and possession of a controlled substance.
The 24-year-old victim told police he went to Johnson’s place to drink beer around 1 a.m. Thursday. When he arrived Johnson lunged at him grabbing for his pockets, police said. The two men fought and the victim was stabbed in the upper left thigh while trying to get away.
He finally escaped after spraying mace in Johnson’s face police said.
Johnson was arrested and is now in Cumberland County Prison.
