A manufacturing error caused milk to be mixed with the orange juice, according to a company news release posted on the Food and Drug Administration website.

The tainted products, which all have a sell-by date of March 23, are Lehigh Valley brand half pints (UPC No. 7047243022), half gallons (UPC No. 7047249310) and gallons (UPC No. 7047243000); Swiss Premium brand half gallons (UPC No. 7654500132) and gallons (UPC No. 7654500106); and Price Chopper brand gallons (UPC No. 4173517135). The plant code on all of the affected products is 42-099.

The orange juice was sold in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and West Virginia.

Anyone who purchased the tainted products can discard the orange juice and return the package to the store where it was purchased for a full refund or exchange. For more information, call 800-587-2259 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. weekdays.

Lehigh Valley Dairy Farms, which has a distribution center in Allentown, voluntarily recalled the products.
