Man charged with sexually assaulting ex at knifepoint in Lancaster

A Lancaster man is charged with sexually assaulting his ex-girlfriend after threatening her with a knife. It happened March 2nd. Pedro L. Gavilan, 47, allegedly showed up at his ex-girlfriend’s residence uninvited. The victim tells police Gavilan threatened her verbally and then with a knife.

He then proceeded to sexually assault her, according to police. Gavilan was charged with Rape, Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse, Aggravated Indecent Assault, Terroristic Threats, Unlawful Restraint, Sexual Assault, Simple Assault, and Aggravated Assault. On March 6, 2014, Manheim Township officers took him into custody and arraigned him on the charges before MDJ Sponaugle. He was committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $500,000 bail.
