Police in Lancaster County are looking for those responsible for setting an American flag on fire in Marietta over the weekend. Susquehanna Regional Police police say overnight Saturday someone burned the American Flag that was flown in the square in Marietta. The borough has since replaced the flag with a new one but, it’s still on the minds of those who live there. Veterans like Marlin Dietz say it’s disrespectful for people living in the community.
” It’s quite upsetting I spent 20 years in the military protecting the flag and constitution and what it stands for so when somebody does this it’s just not right, ” says Marlin Dietz of Marietta
Susquehanna Regional Police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
