Police investigate stabbing at Lancaster County Prison

Two prison inmates were injured in a stabbing at Lancaster County Prison on Monday night, police said.

Officers were dispatched at 9:57 p.m. to the prison located at 625 E. King Street in Lancaster City for a stabbing involving two inmates.

According to police reports, both inmates suffered injuries in the attack. One was taken to Lancaster General Hospital for treatment.

Authorities believe the inmates used a pen or pencil as a weapon.

The investigation is ongoing. Charges have not been filed at this time.
