It’s called the Adjutant Stork, a large wading bird found in south Asia.

There are only about 3,000 of them on the planet, and only about 40 of them in West Bengal.

This one (pictured left) got a warm welcome after wandering into a village.

These birds are pretty huge; they stand about four feet tall and can weigh up to 12 pounds!
