West York Borough Police make an arrest in a shots fired incident last week.  It happened at about 10:26 pm Sunday night.  Shots were fired from a vehicle at another vehicle while both traveling at a high rage of speed eastbound from Richland Avenue towards Hoke Street in the 1100 block of West Princess Street.

On Monday investigators located two victims who said that they were driving through York City when two other vehicles, a white Honda SUV and a white sedan, began chasing them. The two vehicles attempted to box in the victim’s vehicle at the intersection of South Richland and College Avenues.  The victims were able to avoid the blocking tactic and headed west on West Princess Street into West York Borough. The black Honda SUV got behind the victims vehicle in the 1000 block of West Princess Street and a passenger in the SUV fired several rounds at the victims.

Police eventually identified the alleged shooter as Anthony Lamont Real, 21, of York.  Real was taken into custody at about 9:30 pm Monday evening.

Charges against Real include Aggravated Assault and Recklessly Endangering Another Person. Real was arraigned and sent to York County Prison.

West York Borough Police are still looking for the driver of the black Honda SUV, described as a Hispanic male in his mid 30’s. He is also believed to have been firing a handgun. Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact West York Borough Police at (717) 854-1975.
