Police in Cumberland County investigate a pair of weekend burglaries in the Allendale Development. The first burglary happened last Saturday evening at about 8:30 pm in the 100 block of Allendale Way. A 32 inch television was taken from a finished basement. No force was used in entering the house.
The second burglary happened in the 300 block of Blacklatch Lane during the overnight hours between Sunday night and Monday morning. A screen was removed and an unlocked window was opened to gain entry. A laptop computer near the window was taken.
Lower Allen Township Police say in both cases the burglar(s) gained entry through the backyard to the rear of the houses. Residents should be alert for suspicious persons walking through yards, and unusual vehicles not normally associated with the neighborhood or street.
