Eagles trade 5th round pick for RB Sproles

Eagles for assembler

Multiple sources report the Philadelphia Eagles have traded for New Orleans Saints running back Darren Sproles. The Saints will receive a fifth-round draft pick from the Eagles in return for the 10 year NFL veteran. Sproles had expressed a desire to be released rather than traded earlier this week, so that he could choose his destination.

Sproles set an NFL record in 2011 for racking up 2,696 all-purpose yards.
