Police are investigating a shooting that injured a 16-year-old male Friday evening. Officers were notified that a juvenile male arrived at York Hospital just after 8 p.m. with a gunshot wound to his left bicep.

The juvenile provided little information to police, and claims he was shot in front of his residence in the 300 block West Gay Street, by an unknown suspect. Police say 15 minutes earlier that evening, there were reports of shots fired in the 600 block of West Market street. It is unknown if the two incidents are related.

The juvenile was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
