New digital parking meters will go live in Harrisburg Monday, bringing the higher rates with them.

Rates will double from $1.50 an hour to $3 an hour. Meters will now run two hours longer, until 7 p.m.

After parking, drivers must enter their license plate number into the meter to pay.

Some areas in downtown Harrisburg still have the old meters, so drivers there can follow the old rules and rates.
