The Jewish Community Center in York County hosted its annual family friendly Purim Carnival on Sunday.
Hundreds of people attended the event to enjoy fun, food, and games.
It’s a celebration of the Jewish holiday Purim, or The Feast of Lots, which is a time to remember the defeat of Haman, who plotted to destroy all people of Jewish faith in ancient Persia.
Both young and old enjoyed the day’s festivities.
“For kids to kind of come in and learn about Purim and have fun at the same time.; this is one of the educational aspects that the JCC does to try to teach the community about Judaism,” says Kia Fowler, President, York Chapter of BBYO.
Children in attendance took part in face painting, carnival games, and jumped in an inflatable bounce house.
