A Lancaster County teenager, who is battling Stage 4 Liver Failure and a skin disorder called EB (Epidermolysis Bullosa), was the center of attention at an unlikely place this weekend.
Snyder’s Tattoos, on Columbia Avenue in Lancaster, donated part of their profits to Ian Swarr, and his fight to stay alive.
On Saturday and Sunday, the tattoo shop donated half of the profits from regular tattoos and all of the profits from custom-made designs that their artists have created, to Ian.
It’s something owner Frank Snyder has wanted to do for quite some time.
“It’s what I can offer,” said Frank Snyder, Jr. “I want to be able to do as much as I can to help Ian and his fight.”
“They told me that Ian wouldn’t live a year, and he’s 15, going to be 16 in May,” says Delicia Swarr, Ian’s mother.
Also at the shop on Sunday, firefighters from Rohrerstown Fire Department. Ian loves firetrucks and emergency personnel. They came out to say hello to the teen and take photos with him. Temporary tattoos were also given to kids in attendance.
More benefits are planned for Ian Swarr. On March 29th, On Scene Training Associates, Inc. will host a benefit seminar in his honor. For more information, click here: http://www.onscenetraining.com./pdfs/ian_swarr.pdf
