FOUND: “You Got Mail” The man behind the iconic recording

According to Time, Elwood Edwards, the voice of the phrase “You Got Mail” was found by Comedian Jim Breuer. He works for Cleveland’s WKYC Channel 3 as an editor and graphics supervisor.

He also recorded the phrases, “Welcome” and “File’s done!” and “Goodbye.”
