COLD DAY:  The snow is gone, but the cold air hangs on for one more day.  Temps are below freezing this morning, so some roadways will be slick due to ice developing from yesterday’s snow.  Highs hit the middle 30s with plenty of sun.  However, there will be a strong cold northwesterly wind at 15-25mph for the daylight hours, so expect it to feel more like 20s today.  Tonight, the winds fizzle and temps fall to near 20°.  The record low is 19°-1894 and we’ll be close to it!

WINDS

WARM UP:  We start to warm Thursday, with highs making their way to the middle to upper 40s.  Skies fill with clouds as moisture builds for Friday.  Speaking of, there will be showers around as a wave of energy moves through early Friday.  Rain should taper later in the day.  Highs will hit the middle to upper 50s!

3 Day Planner

WEEKEND:  Saturday, another decent wave rolls through bringing soaking rain showers, especially later the day.  We’re mostly cloudy and seasonably mild with highs in the low 50s.  By Sunday, showers fizzle with skies slow to clear.  Highs hit the middle 50s.

NEXT WEEK:  We’ll see a pattern shift for next week.  The wedges of colder air will stay to our north, but at a cost.  The jet stream will glide right over us, which acts as a railroad track for developing storms.  This means we can expect a few shots of fast moving, weak disturbances bringing us the chance for showers through the week.  Monday is dry, sunny and mild with 60s.  Tuesday, a wave brings rain with 50s for highs.  Wednesday we break and Thursday we’re back to showers.  More to come!
