There will be no private meeting with Pope Francis after all. The delegation of Philadelphians which includes Governor Tom Corbett and Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter will not have a private meeting at the Papal residence Wednesday morning. Instead the Pope will greet the group during one of his weekly “general audiences” in Saint Peter’s Square. At the end of the service, after the pope addresses the people and gives his blessing, each delegate will be introduced to the Pope and share any thoughts or gifts. The delegation is in Rome to discuss next year’s World Meeting of Families which will be in Philadelphia.
