Baltimore Ravens running back, Ray Rice, has tied the knot. Rice and his fiancée, Janay Palmer got married on Friday night. The wedding had been planned for weeks.
The nuptials came just one day after a grand jury indicted Rice on Aggravated Assault for allegedly hitting and knocking Palmer unconscious. The incident happened February 15th at a casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Rice was initially charged with Simple Assault, however the charge was elevated because prosecutors took the case to the grand jury.
The football star could face three to five years in prison if convicted.
The Baltimore Ravens issued a statement saying, in part, “we know there is more to Ray Rice than this one incident.”
