A 75-year-old man died in a house fire in Mountville on Monday night. Crews were called to a home along the 200 block of East New Street around 11 p.m.

Investigators said extreme hoarding conditions inside the home made fighting the fire difficult for first responders.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday morning. No word yet on the man’s identity.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
