SHOWERS ARE BACK
A warm front will keep the chance for showers in the picture for Thursday. This morning, scattered showers are expected to clip parts of the area, so keep the umbrella handy as you’re heading out the door. They should taper by about 8 or 9 A.M., leading way to some dry time that lasts through early afternoon. An isolated shower can’t be ruled out though. Some sunshine tries to poke out at times. A ripple of energy will be riding the warm front, and this brings the shower chance back to the area from west to east beginning during the mid to late afternoon and lasting into the evening. The rain sticks around through the night. High temperatures reach the upper 50s to near 60 degrees depending on how long the dry period lasts. More showers would mean lower temperatures.
A cold front is slated to cross the region Friday, so we are looking at more showers. On and off showers are expected through the day. It’s a cool day with the clouds and showers. High temperatures reach the upper 40s to lower 50s. As the cold front crosses Friday evening, a heavier batch of rain pushes through the area as well. Right now, there are no major flooding concerns, but many places are looking at total rainfall amounts through Thursday and Friday on the order of a half of an inch to an inch. At most, we need to keep an eye on creeks and streams.
Skies dry out just in time for the weekend! Saturday a few passing clouds are expected, with temperatures back up into the upper 50s. Sunday brings plenty of blue skies, and high temperatures peaking into the 60s. Our next system doesn’t arrive until Monday, bringing the chance for showers. A few showers could linger into next Tuesday, but Wednesday looks dry.
Have a great Thursday!
