Police have arrested and charged a man  after they say he stabbed a woman in Harrisburg on Saturday during a domestic dispute.

At about 7:05 a.m. police were dispatched to the 1300 block of South 13th Street for an assault. The victim was taken to a local hospital with stab wounds to her body, face and neck. Police said the woman’s injuries are serious but do not appear to be life-threatening.

The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Steven R. Ball III, fled the scene but was captured after a brief foot chase near the PennDOT building.

Police did not specify the relationship between Ball and the woman.

Ball is charged with aggravated assault and flight to avoid apprehension.
