Teen shot while attending party at Crispus Attucks Center in Lancaster

A 16-year-old boy is recovering after being shot while attending a private party at the Crispus Attucks Center in Lancaster City on Saturday night, police said. Officers were dispatched around 9:19 p.m. to the 400 block of Howard Avenue for a shooting.

The victim was taken to Lancaster General Hospital for treatment. Police said the teen was shot in the leg and his injuries are not life-threatening. Authorities believe the teen was shot inside the center.

While officers were investigating the shooting, numerous fights broke out along Howard Avenue, according to police reports.

Additional police from Manheim Township were called to the scene to assist in crowd control.

No arrests have been made and the shooting remains under investigation, investigators said.
