DRYING OUT

A cold front continues to clear the region, with widespread showers continuing this afternoon. Temperatures are falling fast now that the front has passed, allowing snow showers to begin to mix in for some during the evening hours as the precipitation tapers. No accumulations are expected, but some slick spots are likely. By the late evening hours, the area is dry. Temperatures continue to fall into the 20s overnight, so expect some icy spots along with frosty areas by morning. For those with agricultural interests, bear in mind a Freeze Warning is in effect from 2 A.M. to 8 A.M. Wednesday morning due to the frigid temperatures. The winds gradually taper through the night as well.

COOLER, BUT QUIET

The weather stays quiet through week’s end. Highs fall into the 40s and 50s Wednesday under a mixture of sunshine and clouds. Temperatures rise back to near seasonable averages under plenty of sunshine Thursday. Expect highs near 60 degrees. A Freeze Watch is in effect for Thursday morning due to another frigid start anticipated. Some frost is also possible. Friday is a little warmer, and ample sunshine continues.

NEXT RAIN CHANCES

Our next storm system looks to bring some rain showers on Saturday, with cool temperatures in the 50s. Easter Sunday looks dry and seasonable with a mixture of sunshine and clouds. The chance for more April showers enters the picture once again on Monday and Tuesday.

Have a great night!
