Ten arrests in fugitive roundup in Dauphin County

The United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force along with area police departments, state parole agents and county sheriff’s deputies wrapped up a successful one day sweep for violent fugitives wanted throughout Dauphin County with an emphasis on Harrisburg.  The roundup targeted 36 fugitives. Arrests warrants were executed on Ten of those fugitives.

Several significant arrests took place during the operation, to include the following:

• Joseph Cole was being sought by the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole for violation of his state parole. In 1998, Cole was charged with 4 counts of Attempted Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Robbery and numerous firearms charges for a shooting that occurred in the Allison Hills section of Harrisburg. In 2009, Cole was charged with 2 counts of Attempted Homicide, Robbery and Aggravated Assault. In this incident, Cole fired over 10 rounds at 2 victims in the Allison Hill section of Harrisburg. Cole was convicted in both cases. On April 13, Cole was arrested during this operation in the Hall Manor section of Harrisburg. He attempted to hide from arresting personnel.

• Terrell Waters was being sought by the Harrisburg Bureau of Police on charges of Possession of a Firearm, Firearm not to be carried without a License, Aggravated Assault, Recklessly Endangering, and Retaliation against a Witness or Victims. This stemmed from a March 17, 2014 incident in the Allison Hills section of Harrisburg. It is alleged that Waters fired numerous shots at several people. Waters was arrested without incident.

• Bernard White was being sought by the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole for violation of his state parole. On February 15, 2014, White absconding from supervision. White’s convictions were for multiple counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine and a charge of Escape. The escape occurred from a detention facility in 1998. On April 13, White was arrested without incident during this operation.

• Damon Schofield was being sought by the Harrisburg Bureau of Police on charges of Aggravated Assault for an April 8, 2014 incident in the city of Harrisburg. It is alleged that Schofield choked, punched and threatened to kill his girlfriend. On April 13, Schofield was arrested without incident during this operation.

Investigative work continues on the remaining unserved fugitive warrants. The USMS and its task force partners are developing new investigative leads inside and outside of Dauphin County. These will be coordinated with other USMS offices throughout the country, all in an effort to bring these violent fugitive felons to justice.

A brief summary of several remaining fugitives is noted below. Anyone with information on their whereabouts can provide an anonymous tip by calling the toll-free USMS Tip-Line at 1-866-437-9TIP.

Fugitives

• Tyrone Garrett is wanted by Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole for violation of his state parole. Garrett is also being sought by the Steelton Police Department on an Aggravated Assault warrant. Garrett is known to drive a large gold SUV.

• Jyrell Davenport is wanted by the Harrisburg Bureau of Police for a March 2014 strong-arm robbery. He is charged with Robbery and related charges. The victim was assaulted, and suffered numerous injuries to include a broken cheekbone.

• Antonio Crankfield is wanted by Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole for violation of his state parole. In 2008, Crankfield pulled a gun on an undercover police officer and attempted to rob him, leading to his conviction on charges of Robbery, Possession of a Firearm, and Narcotics Distribution. Crankfield is known to frequent the south side of Harrisburg.

• David Jackson is wanted by Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole for absconding from his state parole supervision on a Robbery conviction. Jackson has three prior Firearms convictions. He is known to frequent the uptown area of Harrisburg.
