No one should go hungry on Easter Sunday, and it’s exactly what the Bethesda Mission aimed to prevent today.

The shelter in Harrisburg opened its doors to homeless and hungry folks int he area to enjoy Easter dinner. Volunteers say they prepared enough food to serve more than 150 people.

“We look forward to doing this every day, not just today that we do it but because it is Easter… we decorate our tables and we fill our hearts. We open our hearts and our doors to anyone who wishes to have a meal…” Sterling Torbert- House Supervisor.

The Bethesda mission served over 100 thousand meals and reached out to more than 3 thousand homeless people in the Harrisburg area last year.
