A man was arrested early Sunday after crashing his motorcycle during a police chase in Cumberland County, state police said. Authorities spotted Jesse Aaron Kent Strock, 19, of Mechanicsburg,  driving on the shoulder of the road on Route 581, just east of the Carlisle Pike around 3:10 a.m.

Troopers said when they attempted to pull the motorcycle over, Strock took off at a high rate of speed.

The chase ended on Route 581 near mile marker 7 after Strock lost control  while rounding a curve in the road. He hit a PennDOT construction sign and concrete barrier.

Strock suffered moderate injuries, according to a news release.

Strock was recently charged in connection with bringing a gun onto the campus of Cumberland Valley High School on April 9.
