Fire in York City causes $10,000 in damage

A heat gun started a fire that caused $10,000 worth of damage to a home in York City on Tuesday morning,  according to fire officials.

The fire broke out around 9:15 a.m. at 605 N. Pershing Avenue.

Fire investigators say the fire was accidental and was caused by a heat gun used to remove paint.

No injures were reported.
