home invasion

A man was shot during a violent home invasion in Lebanon City late Monday night. It happened shortly before 12 a.m. in the 1200 block of Willow Street. According to investigators, two masked men forced their way into the back of the home. At that point, police say one of the suspects pulled out a gun and forced all three people inside to gather together. Authorities say a struggle ensued and the gun discharged–hitting Pedro Gonzalez, 30, in the buttocks.

The suspects fled the home before police arrived.

A 34-year-old Lebanon man was also hurt during the incident. He suffered minor injures after being struck in the head. A 45-year-old woman was not hurt.

Gonzalez was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police believe the residents were specifically targeted and that it was not a random incident.
