OVERVIEW:  Ridge of high pressure has brought us a nice day and will continue to build in over head calming our winds and keeping skies clear for part of the overnight. Next low pressure system rides in from the Plains and will bring showers to the area by the afternoon Friday. There will be a secondary disturbance Saturday afternoon that may spit out a few isolated showers otherwise it will be dry and milder. Heading into the middle of next week, a cut off upper level low will very slowly move in our direction and will bring several days of unsettled weather resulting in cooler temps and wet days.

THIS EVENING:  A great looking evening with mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will fall through the 50s by 10pm.

OVERNIGHT:  Clouds will continue to stream in from the west towards morning. We remain dry and cool with lows dropping to the mid and upper 30s to near 40 degrees.

TOMORROW:  The morning commute should be dry but anytime after the noon hour, showers will arrive in the west ahead of a cold front. They will continue to spread east and pick up heading into the evening drive time. The wet weather should exit around midnight. Highs will warm into the low 60s before the rain starts.

RAIN AMOUNTS:  Not looking at more than a quarter of an inch of rainfall total by the time the system moves out.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK: Most of the weekend looks dry but a weak disturbance Saturday afternoon may trigger a few isolated showers. Not everyone will see them. Temperatures to start the weekend will be in the upper 60s but cooler in the upper 50s to near 60 for Sunday.

UNSETTLED WEEK AHEAD: We are looking to start the week dry but heading into Tuesday and for much of the week, we will be under a blanket of clouds and showers will threaten each day because of an upper level low that becomes cutoff and will be very slow to move out. Temps are tricky at this point but look to be below normal due to the overcast skies and wet weather.
