Pets help us through many difficult things in life.. including Cancer.
That’s why the American Cancer Society organized a “Bark for Life” event today in Dauphin County. The dog centered fundraiser at Indian Echo Caverns is a prelude to “Relay for Life” which will be held in June.
Dogs and their owners took part in a costume contest, group dog walk, games and also enjoyed live music. All to help find a cure for cancer.
“The bottom line is everyone sadly is effected by cancer, and I’m quite confident that everyone wants to find a cure and through events like this and fundraisers like this…we will!” Myra Taylor-Volunteer
Last year the Bark for Life and Relay for Life events combined raised more than $160 thousand dollars for the American Cancer Society and Cancer Research.
