An off duty officer with the Baltimore City Police Department has been charged with attempted homicide and aggravated assault after a shooting in York Township. The shooting took place in the 300 block of Brentwood Drive around 12:30PM on Tuesday. Antwoine Mountouth lives in the apartment complex and was surprised by the gunfire. “I was sitting in the kitchen with my mother and we heard about eight shots and we just froze for a minute” said Mountouth.

That’s when people started calling 911. Sergent Jeff Dunbar with the York Area Regional Police said that Torres was one of the people that called to report the incident. “The person that we have in custody was wearing a uniform” said Dunbar.

The victim has been identified as David Hohman Sr. Police wouldn’t comment on his condition, but said that he suffered several gunshot wounds to the arm and torso before being taken to the hospital. According to a press release by the York Area Regional Police the shooting “appears to be a result of a dispute between the two individuals.”
