Off duty Baltimore cop is York Township shooting suspect

The suspect in a York Township shooting was an off duty Baltimore City Police Officer.  John Torres 33, of York, is charged with Attempted Homicide and Aggravated Assault.

Torres is accused of shooting 34 year old David Hohman, Sr., of Baltimore several times in the upper torso and arm.  It happen at about 12:30 pm as Hohman sat in a car in the area of 333 Brentwood Drive.  Hohman is currently listed in stable condition in York Hospital.

Torres is being held at York Prison in lieu of $750,000 bail. Investigators say the shooting appears to be a result of a dispute between the two men.

    Why was the cop at the apartment complex? Did he love there? Was this a dispute over woman?

    $750,000 shouldn't be bail. It should be bond.
