SOGGY NIGHT

Still soggy through the night

Plenty of moisture continues to stream in ahead of a cold front attached to a slow moving upper level area of low pressure. Periods of rain continue through the evening and overnight, with heavier pockets slipping in at times. Before daybreak, there will likely be another bought of heavier rainfall across the area. Around daybreak skies dry out and the clouds begin to break. Total rainfall amounts will range from 1 to 3 inches, with some spots totaling as many as 4 inches. A Flood Watch continues across the region until Thursday morning as a result. Many creeks and streams are forecasted to rise above flood stage and experience minor flooding. Temperatures rise to near 60 degrees by midnight, and lows bottom out in the middle 50s to near 60 degrees.

GRADUALLY DRYING OUT

Expect some sunshine to sneak back into the forecast Thursday as some drier air slips in behind the cold front. It’s still a bit on the breezy side, with a few gusty showers and thunderstorms possible. High temperatures will reach the upper 60s to lower 70s. Friday looks to be the driest day so far, as the upper level area of low pressure finally lifts to the north. There’s only a chance for an isolated shower, mainly to the northwestern parts of the area. Highs fall back into the 60s.

STILL SOME SHOWER CHANCES

The weekend and beyond looks much drier, but it will not come without any shower chances. Saturday is our best chance for widespread showers as a cold front swings through. By Sunday, we’re mainly dry, but an isolated shower or two is still possible. Highs are in the middle 60s through the weekend. Monday through Wednesday feature more sunshine. Temperatures steadily climb from the middle 60s Monday to near 70 degrees by Wednesday.

Have a great night!
