A Spring Grove man was arrested by the Carroll Township Police Department for allegedly taping a child’s mouth shut for “talking too much.”
Charges were filed Wednesday against Christopher L. Weaver, 46, for simple assault and harassment for allegedly pushing his girlfriend’s 7-year-old son to the ground and placing scotch tape over the child’s mouth. Police said the child received minor injuries as a result of the incident, which happened April 16, according to police.
Weaver was also charged with simple assault on a female acquaintance that happened a few days before taping the child’s mouth shut, police said.
Weaver was arrested on a parole violation in Dillsburg and placed in York County Prison.
