Embattled Toronto Mayor Rob Ford says he’s taking a break from his re-election campaign to get help for substance abuse. In a statement, Ford said he has a problem with alcohol, and the choices he’s made while under the influence. Ford’s attorney didn’t have specifics on the help Ford would be getting. This comes more than five months after Ford attempted to smoking crack cocaine. Since his admission, his critics and some of his allies have urged him to seek help.
