Carlisle robbery victim fights back against knife-wielding man
A man is behind bars after he tried to rob a man in Carlisle on April 21 with a knife, police said. Investigators arrested Richard N. Ferrer, 37, of Carlisle, on Thursday and charged him with robbery, simple assault and attempted theft.
The robbery happened April 21 along the first block of West Pomfret Street. According to police reports, Ferrer approached the 29-year-old victim and demanded cash. When the victim refused–Ferrer pulled out a knife. Police say Ferrer dropped the knife after the victim grabbed him and the pair fell to the found.
The victim suffered minor cuts during the altercation.
