Police: 19 brass vases stolen from Harrisburg East Cemetery

Police say thieves have stolen 19 brass vases from cemetery grave sites in Dauphin County. The thefts occurred between April 21 and April 29 at the Harrisburg East Cemetery located along the 2200 block of Herr Street in Susquehanna Township.

The thieves cut through the chains that connected the vases to each grave marker, according to police reports.

The total cost to replace the vases is valued at $8,000.
