Teen drivers in Lancaster County realized the dangers of distracted driving on Saturday, through a simulator.  The eye-opening experience was part of the “Drive to Stay Alive” safety fair that took place at the High Sports Family Fun Center in Warwick Township.

The event, hosted by Morning Light Foundation, aimed to educate teenagers and their families on the deadly consequences of texting while driving.

Melannie Bryson, Co-found of Mourning Light Foundation says, “I would encourage parents to get involved with your kids. Don’t just hand over the car keys and let them go. It’s not a free-for-all. Even if your kids have been driving for 6 months, the majority of the accidents occurred 6 months after your child’s been licensed.”
