Mirth and merriment was had by all at the 23rd Annual May Day Fairie Festival in York County this weekend. The event, hosted by Spoutwood Farm in Codorus Township, welcomes thousands of visitors from across the globe. The festival is an organic celebration featuring handmade crafts, fairie activities, and performances by musicians, dancers, and storytellers.
Vendors say the event gives both children and adults the opportunity to get in touch with their inner imaginations.
Juliana Dixon a CSA Manager says, “I think it’s something that we lose as we get older and we get involved in our budgets and taxes as such like this and I think that when we encourage imagination to grow and we support it in other people our whole world will become more vibrant.”
Previously, a one-day festival, organizers added a second and third day as a response to the festival’s rising popularity.
