The Byrnes Health Education Center in York became a “Rally Point” for some local veterans on Sunday. The York County Veterans Outreach Group hosted the free afternoon event to serve those who have served our country. The event connected veterans and their families with information on resources and assistance programs like housing, employment, and health and wellness.

“We want to serve them, they have served us,” said Susan Byrnes, chairwoman of the group, “They have sacrificed for us and now it’s our turn as a community to give back to them.”

Several notable veterans appeared at the event including York City Mayor Kim Bracey and Congressman Scott Perry.
