A 78-year-old Fayetteville man died after a head-on crash in Franklin County early Tuesday. It happened around 5:36 a.m. along Route 30 near Cameo Drive in Greene Township.
According to police reports, 35-year-old Claire Cody, of Orrtanna, was headed west on Route 30 when she crossed into the eastbound lane and hit a speed limit sign. The impact of the crash sent her vehicle careening into the eastbound lane where she struck a vehicle driven by 78-year-old Edward E. Naugle Jr.
Naugle died from his injuries as a result of the crash, police said.
Authorities say Cody suffered moderate injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
