WARM FRONT: A warm front marks the leading edge of a warm air mass, and one is advancing through the state today. We’ll stay on the “cooler” side” with highs in the middle to upper 60s today. Clouds will thicken up through the day. A few showers fire during the day, with another batch sliding in later this evening into the overnight hours as the warm air advances north. We drop to the low 50s tonight with showers likely.
WARMTH: The warmer air builds on Thursday. Highs are forecast to hit the upper 70s to the southwest and only near 70° to the northeast. Clouds break for a bit of sunshine through the day, with an isolated shower chance.
Friday looks even warmer with highs topping out in the upper 70s and 80s in a few spots under partly sunny skies. It looks dry through the day, but a few showers or storm may bubble very late.
WEEKEND: A cold front advances slowly on Saturday, bringing a cloudy and showery and stormy day. Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms as highs climb to the middle 70s. Most of the rain is gone by morning on Sunday. Mother’s Day plans should still be manageable, but do expect the chance for a few showers. Highs are in the upper 70s. Enjoy!
NEXT WEEK: The above average warmth stays with us. Highs stay in the middle to upper 70s for the start of the week. Several disturbances will put scattered showers and thunderstorms in the picture for the start of the work week.
Make it a wonderful Wednesday!
