Instead of flowers or jewelry, why not make Mom dinner?
Tom Burkhart from Texas Roadhouse York shows us a grilled chicken salad with homemade ranch dressing that Mom is sure to love.
GRILLED CHICKEN SALAD:
Salad Greens 8 oz
Jack cheese (shredded) ¼ cup
Diced Tomato 2 TBSP
Chopped Egg 2 TBSP
Chicken Breast Strips ½ Cup
Bacon Bits 1 TBSP
Red Onion Rings if desired
Croutons as needed
Dressing to taste
Grilled Chicken Preparation:
Place on grill and cook to internal temperature of no less than 165F
(you can marinate or rub with any commercially available spices)
Cut into strips
Place salad greens into a chilled bowl
Sprinkle Jack cheese, diced tomato and chopped egg evenly over salad greens
Place chicken strips evenly around the salad greens
Place red onion rings on salad
Sprinkle croutons and bacon bits evenly on salad
Homemade ranch dressing
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup buttermilk
½ teaspoon dried parsley
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Salt to taste
1.In a small bowl, whisk all of the ingredients together.
2.Store the dressing in an airtight container and refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
