WARM UP:  Morning showers push north and break up with warmth making its march into the state today.  Expect mostly cloudy skies early, with breaks for sun through the day.  We could see a stray shower bubble later in the day.  It’s not a one number kind of day for highs.  Spots toward the southwest will make a run at 80°, while locations north and east will be closer to 70°.  Regardless, it’ll start to feel a bit humid as well.  Tonight, temps will fall to the upper 50s to near 60° with clouds hanging tough.  A hazy mist may develop with all the moisture in play.

HIGHS

FRIDAY:  It’s a partly sunny and warm day to end the week. We’ll climb to the upper 70s to near 80° for highs.  It looks mostly dry early, with the chance for a few showers or storms late in the day.  Enjoy the taste of summer air!

WEEKEND:  Showers, storms, and cloudy skies look likely for Saturday as a cold front makes its way through the state.  Highs will touch the middle 70s.  Sunday, for Mother’s Day, we’ll stay mostly cloudy and mostly dry.  Highs nudge to the upper 70s.  It’s a pretty good looking day.

METEO

NEXT WEEK:  We stay on the warm side with temperatures in the 80s.  We’re watching some timing differences for our next storm system, but Tuesday into Wednesday we could see some showers or storms as the next cold front moves through.  Stay with us.

Have a terrific Thursday!
